NHPC Limited has commissioned first 50 MW Wind Power Project located at Lakhmana, Jaisalmer District in Rajasthan.
The project consists of 25 nos. Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) each of 2 MW capacity, which have been successively synchronized with the Grid in the month of October, 2016.
The project has been constructed on EPC basis with a cost of Rs 302.50 crores. Total annual mean generation from the project is estimated as 94.25 MUs with capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 21.54%.
The Power Purchase Agreement for purchase of 100% power generated from the project was signed with Rajasthan Urja Vyapar Nigam Limited on 28.09.2016. By 31st October, 2016, about 1.56 Lakh units of energy was generated by the project.
